Former Keswick Resident Died

W.H. Fasold, Superintendent at Albia, Graduated From Keswick High School

W. H. Fasold, of Albia, aged 59, former resident of Keswick, died last Saturday morning at the Miners’ hospital in Albia. He had been stricken with apoplexy on Monday morning and did not regain consciousness.

Mr. Fasold had been superintendent of the Albia schools for 15 years. He was born in Iowa county and was graduated from the Keswick high school. He is a graduate of the Iowa State Teachers college in Cedar Falls and took post-graduate work at the State University of Iowa in Iowa City and Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Prior to his accepting the superintendency of the Albia schools, Mr. Fasold taught in the Mount Ayr schools, seven years; in Eagle Grove four years and in the Albia junior college.

He had been a member of the Keswick Methodist Protestant church since boyhood; was a member of the Albia Rotary club and served as a scoutmaster for 25 years.

Surviving are his wife; one son Max; one daughter, Mrs. William Forrester of Akron, Ohio; one brother Walter Fashold of Keswick and Mrs. E. L Cameron of Pasadena, California.

The funeral service was held at the Albia Methodist Episcopal church on Sunday evening at 6:30 o’clock, in charge of the Rev. E. A. Moore of Grand Junction, formally of Albia. Burial was made at Oak View cemetery in Albia.
