Harry U. Lemke, 91, of rural Dows, died Tuesday, May 19, 1998, in Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center, Waterloo, from complications of injuries suffered in a car accident Feb. 6, 1998. Services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Morgan United Methodist Church, rural Dows, by the Rev. Michael Tolles. Burial: Morgan Township Cemetery, rural Dows. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 25, Elledge Funeral Home, Dows.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Hansen of Walker; two sons, Larry of Lakeville, Minn., and James of Boone; a brother, LaVern of Hampton; a sister, Esther Campbell of Iowa Falls; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, six brothers and four sisters.

Born May 12, 1907, on a farm near Dows, Harry farmed all of his life. He married Hilda Annetta Lauterbach on Dec. 29, 1936, in Austin, Minn.
