SPOKANE -- Funeral for Lillian I. (Johnson) Beringer, 84, will be today at 11 a.m. at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Mrs. Beringer, a 46-year resident of Spokane, died Friday. She was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa.

Mrs. Beringer worked part time for the U.S. Postal Service for a few years, and was primarily a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Paul. Survivors include four daughters, Suzanne Sander of Harbor, Wash., Kathryn Short and Ruth Knowles, both of Hayden Lake, Idaho, and Peggy Newlin of Corvallis, Ore.; three sisters, Madeline Bakee of Chula Vista, Calif., Sally Weideman of Austin, Minn., and Marge Ayres of Litchfield, Ill.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
