Winifred Blanche Tollefsrude was born July 24, 1892 at Rusk, Iowa. She was the daughter of Elisha M. and Sarah (Rostad) Tollefsrude. She was baptized in 1892 at Trinity Lutheran Church where she was later confirmed. Blanche was educated at Grant Township Country Schools. She married Eugene Cordahl in Pocahontas County in 1936. The couple farmed near Pocahontas for many years. Later they operated a resort in Phoenix, Arizona for several years. in 1972, they retired and moved to Apache Junction, Arizona where they lived until Blanche returned to Iowa in 1983. Eugene died in 1986. Blanche had been a resident of the Rotary Ann Nursing Home, Eagle Grove, since 1985.

Blanche was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a member and office of the Ladies Aid Society. She worked as a Sunday School teacher and was the church organist for many years. She retained her membership in the Trinity Lutheran Church throughout her life and recently transferred that membership to the Elfsborg Lutheran Church.

Blanche is survived by her nephew, Ervon Christeson of Omaha Nebraska; several great nieces and nephews, and several brother and sisters-in-law. Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, husband two sisters, Emma Tollefsrude and Rosa Christeson, and a brother Cyrus Tollefsrude.
