RENWICK — Frances Marie Kelling, 102, of Renwick, died Saturday (July 2, 2005) at Rotary Ann Nursing Home, Eagle Grove. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, Renwick, with the Rev. Jerry Newland officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Renwick. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, Renwick and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Frances Marie Kelling was born June 30, 1903, in Wright County, daughter of Oliver and Dora (Young) Pletcher of Goldfield, Iowa. Frances married Carl Peter Kelling on December 4, 1920 at Fort Dodge, Iowa. They lived and farmed north of Renwick for 40 years, then moved into Renwick. Later, she moved to the Rotary Ann Retirement Home, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. She was a longtime member of the Renwick First Baptist Church where she was active in Mission Circle. Frances also belonged to the Know Your Neighbor Club. She enjoyed gardening, craft work, painting, quilting, and writing. She was a published author.

Frances Marie Kelling died Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Rotary Ann Retirement Home, Eagle Grove at the age of 102. She is survived by three daughters, Betty Gillespie and her husband Jim of Hillsdale, IL; Bonnie Hansen and her husband David of Clinton, Iowa, and Faith Larson and her husband Glenn of Rapid City, South Dakota. She is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl on August 25, 1992; three sons, Lowell, Arlo, and Dale; three grandchildren; four sisters; and one brother.
