DAKOTA CITY — Michael L. Ruberg, 42, of Humboldt passed away April 5, 2008 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday April 9, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt with the Rev. J.K. Raether officiating. Interment will be in West Ullensvang Cemetery, Thor. Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.

Mr. Ruberg is survived by his wife, Tracey; daughter, Amanda; sons, Shawn and Dustin; parents, Warren (Joyce) Ruberg; brother, Lonnie (Deb) Ruberg; sister, Lori Anderson; in-laws, Clarence (Barb) Lehman, Steve (Leslie) Lehman, Linda (Carl) VanRoekel, and Scott (Kathy) Lehman. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Maurice (Arlene) Olson and Peter (Wilma) Ruberg; sister-in-law, Lori Lehman.

Michael Lee Ruberg, the son of Warren and Joyce (Olson) Ruberg, was born August 28, 1966 in Fort Dodge, IA. He grew up in the Thor area and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1984. He was married to Tracey Lehman April 8, 1989. From that union three children were born, Amanda, Shawn, and Dustin. Mike worked at Dodgen Industries and also drove truck for several years. Decker Truck Lines employed him at the time of his death. Mike enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing cribbage, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of ABATE of Iowa and the Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Mike was an all around happy person and enjoyed life to the fullest.
