Floyd Franklin Clark, the son of Jess and Emma (Box) Clark, was born Jan. 23, 1914, on a farm near Galt. Floyd married Leila Maddy on June 15, 1935, at Chariton. Floyd began farming near Russell in 1936. Their first years he broke horses for a dollar a day and worked part time in coal mines to support the farm. S. and every Canadian province. Floyd attended the Clear Lake Evangelical Free Church and was on the Board of Directors of the Clear Lake Senior Citizens. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and telling stories of growing up with 11 brothers and sisters in the horse-and-buggy days.
