GALT -- Helen E. Swanson, 87, of Galt, died Monday (Oct. 9, 1995) at the Community Memorial Hospital, Clarion. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Catholic Church, Clarion, with the Rev. Wayne Droessler officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will begin 3 p.m. Friday at Willim Funeral Home, Clarion, with a 6:30 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service.

Helen E. Swanson was born June 4, 1908, in Fairbury, Neb. Survivors include her husband, Wendal Swanson of Galt; three daughters, Mary Girard of St. Paul, Minn.; Jeanne Eagle of Cambridge, Mass., and Joyce Falkenberg of Bergen, Norway; one son, Ron Swanson of Galt; one brother, J.E. Holland of Fort Worth, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
