WILLIAMS — Linda Jean Ashby, 55, of Williams, passed away Monday (April 4, 2005) at her home. Funeral services for Linda Ashby will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Ewing Dugger Helgeson Funeral Home, 100 North Lee Street in Dows with Pastor Bill Keller officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 -7 Thursday and one hour prior to services at the funeral home in Dows.

Linda, the daughter of Darrell and Faye Holub Thompson, was born March 25, 1950 in LuVerne, Minnesota. She graduated from New Ulm High School in New Ulm, Minnesota. On June 20, 1998, she married her best friend and soul-mate, Lonnie Ashby. They lived on a farm just outside of Dows. Linda enjoyed shopping and spending time with Lonnie on their farm.

Linda is survived by her husband, Lonnie, of Williams, and her mother, Faye Thompson, of Rochester, Minn. She is also survived by three sons and four step-children: Joe (Kelly) Kleist of Linton, Ind., Ted Kleist of Mankato, Minn., Charley (Betsy) Kleist of North Carolina, Lonnie Ashby, Jr. of Fargo, N. D., Yalonda (Jeff) Fix of Menahga, Minn., Tracy (Chris) Grangruth of Mennahga, Minn., and Tammy (William) Myers of Menahga, Minn.; three sisters: Carol Block of Webster City, Mavis (Randy) Higgins of Rochester, Minn., and Nancy (Bob) Milbrett of New Ulm, Minn. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her faithful four-legged pals, Nikkie Ann and Bandit Lee. She will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her father and niece.
