Helen L. Millsap, one of 14 children born to Ben and Lizzie (Anderson) Lonning, was born on September 14, 1911, in Hillsdale, Wyoming. The Lonnings lived in the Eagle Grove and Thor areas for many years. Helen graduated from Eagle Grove High School with the class of 1929. She lived and worked in the Denver, Colorado area for over 40 years, working as a switchboard operator for the telephone company. Helen died Friday, March 28, 2008 at Villa Cottages in Fort Dodge at the age of 96 years. Helen is preceded in death by her parents and 12 siblings. She is survived by one sister, Verna Wikre of Colorado Springs, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon at Foust Funeral Home. Visitation is one hour prior to services at the Funeral Home. Burial will be on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
