March 22, 1918 -- January 12, 1993

Dean R. Maxon was educated in Dows & Webster City, graduating from Webster City in 1935. In 1935, he began farming in Wall Lake Twp. and farmed there until retiring in 1990. In 1941, he married Phyllis Stout at her parents' home in Clarion.
Survivors include sons, William of Clarion and Craig, Topeka, Kan.; daughter, Nancy Danielson, Des Moines; 7 grandchildren; and brother Lawrence, Clarion. He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis in 1991; his daughter, Peggy Holtkamp; his parents; one brother and one sister. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion.
