Curtis Samuel Farman
[March 17, 1833, Jefferson County, New York ---April 26, 1913, Belmond, Wright County, Iowa]

C.S. Farman died at Belmond, IA. at the home of his daughter, Blanche, Mrs. Wm. Nelson at the age of 80 yrs, 1 month, 9 days. He has brothers, George and Fred Farman, and 3 sisters Frances Pack, Harriet Thayer, & Ida Farman. He was married to Emily Devereaux, daughter of Theodorous & Lydia (Foster) Devereaux in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, 20 March 1854. Children born to this couple are: Willis E. of Sierra Madre, California, Cornelia, Mrs. James Thomas of Belmond, Iowa, Herbert Farman of Salem, Missouri, Ottillia, Mrs. John D. Baker of Belmond, Iowa, Frances, Mrs. Samuel Wyand of Reynolds, North Dakota, Mabel, Mrs. Norman Goodenow of Everett, Washington, Blanche, Mrs. William Nelson, Belmond, Iowa. The family moved to Amsterdam (Goodell) Hancock County Iowa in 1878. Emily (Devereaux) Farman, died in 1892. Burial in Amsterdam Cemetery.
