BUSHNELL, IL - Lester D. Wiemann, 65, of Bushnell died at 4:55 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2000, in the emergency room at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

Born Sept. 28, 1934, in Alexander, Iowa, to John and Bena Olson Wiemann, he married Maria Schruff on April 12, 1969, in Bushnell. She survives. Also surviving are his mother of Belmond, Iowa; three sons, Charles of Des Moines, Iowa, Kelly of Monmouth and Terry of Pasadena, Md.; one daughter, Lesley Wiemann of Bardolph; three stepdaughters, Brigitte Wilt of Bushnell, Leona Kennedy of Burlington, Iowa, and Carol Sue Farrar of Galesburg; five brothers, Orvalle of Lodi, Wis., Roger of Belmond, David of Albert Lea, Minn., Robert of Webster City, Iowa, and Dennis of Norwalk, Iowa; three sisters, Margarie Steenblock of Belmond, and Barbara Flaten and Kay Schlichting, both of Britt, Iowa; two grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat- grandchildren. His father and one sister preceded him in death. He was a Korean War Army veteran.

Family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at his residence. There will be no services. Cremation will be accorded. Burial of ashes will be in Alexander Cemetery in Alexander at a later date. Martin-Hollis Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
