John Wepel, 95, of Webster City died of a heart ailment Sunday at home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home in Webster City, with burial at Graceland Cemetery there. Mr. Wepel was born near Webster City and had lived in the Woolstock, Kamrar and Ellsworth areas before moving to Webster City in 1979. He had worked for Wehrheim Sale Barn, Johnson Auction and Clint Peterson Auctions, and was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie two sons, Clair and Marion, both of Ankeny eight grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Visitation will continue an hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
