ROCHELLE, IL-- Lynda C. Rogers, 63, of Rochelle, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, from complications of leukemia.

She was born on March 30, 1943, in Galt, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer J. and Lola Ruth (Roberts) Wells. Lynda married Harold L. Rogers on Feb. 8, 1986 in Rochelle. Lynda was the manager of the New York Bagel and Coffee Exchange in Rochelle and attended the Four Square Church.

She was preceded by a brother, Bud Schonert and a sister, Lola Bender. Surviors include her husband, Harold, of Rochelle; three sons, David (Susan) Degelau, of Ashton; James Degelau, of Kingsville, Ohio, and Donovan (Laura) Degelau, of Stillman Valley; a daughter, Michelle Johnson, of Rochelle; step son, Jeff (Connie) Rogers, of Rochester; and step daughter, Shelly (Jim) Todd, of Florence, S.C.; three brothers, Jim (Rosemary) Schonert, of Hathaway Pines, Calif., Don (Maryann) Schonert, of Bellview, Neb., and Bob Schonert, of Cottonwood, Ariz.; four sisters, Lois Martinson, of Minneapolis, Minn., Barbara Lake, of Puyallup, Wash., Betty Tascau, of Stockton, Calif., and Francis Stockwell, of Victorville, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, four step grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Unger-Horner Funeral Home on Monday, March 26 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ann Erickson officiating. Visitation will be held at Unger-Horner on Sunday, March 25 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society. Burial will be at Trinity Memory Gardens.
