June 19, 1913 -- December 1, 1993

Eldon Wayne Diehl, Son of Glenn W. & Grace W. (Walters) Diehl. On June 6, 1940 he married Lenore Kraft in Clarion. Later that year, they moved to Allison where he operated a funeral and furniture business. He was drafted in the U.S. Army on Oct 19, 1943 and served until Dec. 21, 1945. When he returned to Allison where he remained in the funeral business until his retirement in 1987. Mr, Diehl will most be remembered for his love of flying, and being instrumental in starting the Allison Airport. Survivors include several nieces, and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife on April 1, 1986. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Dows, Iowa.
