EAGLE GROVE-Mary Jane Holt, 69, of Eagle Grove died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 3 p.m. at Graceland Cemetery, followed by a 3:30 p.m. memorial service at Trinity Lutheran Church, both in Webster City. Rev. John Grebner will officiate. Visitation will be two hours before service at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City.

Mary Jane was born June 26, 1933, at Williams to Frank and Evelyn Hart Merz. She worked at Newberry's and Woolworth's prior to attending A.I.B. in Des Moines. She also worked at the Hamilton County Hospital. She married Edward Holt at Webster City on June 22, 1956. The couple lived in Webster City and she worked at Southland Care Center in Webster City, Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls and provided home health care. She had resided in Webster City, Alden, Iowa Falls and Eagle Grove. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City.

She is survived by four sons, Byron Holt, and wife Jackie, Frank Holt, John Holt and wife Christina, all of Eagle Grove, and Edward Holt and wife Diane of Raymond; a daughter, Susanna Wages, and husband Rick of Webster City; three brothers, George Merz of Duncomb, Frank Merz of Iowa Falls and John Merz of Fort Dodge; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1988; and three sisters, Darlene, Esther and Martha Merz.
