Death Of Beatrice Gettys Gripp

Services for Beatrice G. Gripp, 73, of Perry were held Wednesday, June 29 at the United Methodist Church in Rippey, Iowa. Interment was at 2:30 p.m. in the St. Charles Cemetery. Eastern Star services were Tuesday, June 28 at the Fouch Funeral Home at Perry.

Mrs. Gripp died Sunday, June 26 at the Dallas County Hospital. She was born January 14, 1904, at Metz, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph Ellsworth and Margaret Gettys. Mrs. Gripp taught school in Bayard, Rippey, Indianola, St. Charles, Belmond and Des Moines. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge, Eastern Star, White Shrine, Women's Club, Lend-A-Hand Circle of the King's Daughters and the Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Shirley) Harvey; a son-in-law, Larry; two granddaughters; a brother, Maurice Gettys of Faribault, Minnesota; and a sister, Mrs. E. A. Marshall (Margaret) of El Cajon, California. Mrs. Gripp was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
