Rites at Truro For Ona Creger

Funeral services for Ona Estella Creger were held Sunday afternoon, March 31, from the Kale Funeral Home at Truro. Mrs. Creger died March 28 at the Heritage Nursing Home in Clarion, Iowa. She was 85 years of age.

A daughter of Harrison and Luretta Leeper Beem, she was born July 6, 1888 in Adair County, Iowa. She attended Adair County schools, and in 1918 was married to Verde Creger at Broken Bow, Nebraska.
Mrs. Creger was a school cook and housewife. She was a member of the Peru Methodist church. Surviving are a son, Pete Creger of Des Moines; a daughter, Freda Creger of Clarion; three step-children, Ann Jeter of Iowa City, Harold Creger of Ft. Dodge and Arthur Creger of West Des Moines; a sister, Alta Rhyno of Truro; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Ivan and Virgil Beem.

Officiating at the funeral was the Rev. Richard Hempenius of Truro. Burial was in Young cemetery near Truro.
