Melvin Lloyd Peddle, 82, of Chino Hills, died Sept. 25, 2007 in Chino. He was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Rowan, Iowa. He attended high school in Dows, Iowa, and enlisted in the Army in 1946. He worked for a Master Freight transportation company and had been retired for 40 years. He lived in Chino Hills for 32 years and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Chino.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Norma P. Peddle; two sons, Merlin L. Peddle of Castle Rock, Colo., and John Peddle of Chino Hills; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30 at Funeraria del Angel Pierce Bros. Griffith, Chino. A service will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 1 at Funeraria del Angel Pierce Bros. Griffith, Chino. Interment will follow at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:16 p.m. in staging area #7. Funeraria del Angel Pierce Bros. Griffith, Chino is in charge of arrangements.
