GENEVA—Steven Arthur Hill, 59, of Geneva, died on Monday, November 26, 2007, at Williamsburg. Funeral services were held on Friday, November 30, at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls, with burial in the Alden Cemetery. The Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley was in charge of the arrangements.

Steven was born on March 2, 1948 at Dows, the son of Arthur and Ilene Hill. He received his elementary education in the Dows School and graduated from the Iowa Falls High School with the class of 1966. He married Sandra Elkin on June 28, 1970, at Iowa Falls. Steve farmed in the Geneva area and was also the owner and operator of Steve Hill Trucking. Steve was a member of the Methodist Church in Hampton and the Franklin County Cattlemen’s Association. Steve was a past member of the Hansell Methodist Church, and a youth group leader, board member and president of the church board. Steve was a past 4-H member and leader, was active in FFA while in high school, and coached youth baseball and basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra of Geneva; two sons, Matt Hill and wife, Jennifer of Iowa Falls and Brian Hill of Iowa Falls; a daughter, Lisa Flack of Hampton; three sisters, Janice Gregory and husband, Dr. Richard of Vermillion, South Dakota, Janet Kauffman and husband, Larry of Ankeny and Judy Duckett and husband, Ronald of Randalia; one brother, Stan Hill of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, Mary Jane, Ryan, Ashley, Alexis, Makenzie, Caroline, Mattilyn and Briana; and one son-in-law, Brian Flack of Bradford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ilene Hill; mother-in-law, Caroline Elkin; brother-in-law, Mike Elkin; and sister-in-law, Jane Elkin.
