Goldfield — Funeral services were held at Eagle Grove Monday for Mrs. Gus Sherman, 69. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery at Goldfield. She is survived by her husband and 2 brothers, George Agard of Goldfield and Claude Agard of Webster City.

Florence Agard Sherman was born at Goldfield, Iowa, October 2, 1877, and after an intermittent illness of several years, died at the Mercy hospital in Fort Dodge on June 13, 1947, at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 11 days. At an early age she united with the Goldfield Methodist church and was a faithful worker and teacher in the Sunday School. She was married to Gus Sherman in Humboldt, Iowa in April 1903 and resided there for several years. For the past 27 years they have made their home in Eagle Grove. Mrs. Sherman was preceded in death by her son Coyle Field, who passed away September 12, 1946. She is survived by her husband and two brothers, George Agard of Goldfield and Claude Agard of Webster City and many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Sherman will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, a kind neighbor and friend by those who knew her.June 19, 1947
