WEBSTER CITY — Juanita Flaws Hilpipre, 81, of Webster City, died Monday, October 29, 2007, at Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Foster Chapel, with Rev. Gerald Caquelin officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today and prior to the service on Thursday. Juanita Elaine Asklund, daughter of Harry and Mary Woodruff Asklund, was born November 9, 1925 at Ogden. She received her education at Ogden and Boone. As a young woman, she moved to Webster City and worked as a waitress. On June 9, 1944, she married Alden Archie Flaws at Des Moines. The couple reside at Webster City. Her husband retired in 1974 and they continued to reside at Webster City. Mr. Flaws died December 25, 1983. On July 13, 1987, she married Wayne Anthony Hilpipre at Brookings, SD. The couple resided at Webster City. Mr. Hilpipre died June 7, 1996. She continued to reside at Webster City. Since May of 2004, she has lived at Southfield Wellness Community.

Mrs. Hilpipre is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Roger Beem of Duncombe; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Vicky Flaws of Ames; step-children and spouses, Robert and Rosella Flaws of Woolstock; Dean and Sharon Flaws of Webster City; sister, Arliss Korioth of Richardson, TX; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, LaVerne, Elmer and Harry Asklund; sisters, Harlene Williams, Lila Proesch, Ione Keeney and Junella Keller Willis. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Her life was her home and her family.
