Funeral services were held Monday, March 29, at Clarion for Zatha Pauline Asche, 77, of that community, a native of the Churdan area. Interment was in Eagle Grove Cemetery.

Zatha Pauline Andrew, daughter of Wilford and Sarah Mantz Andrew, was born October 2, 1915, on a farm east of Churdan. She died March 25, 1993, of a heart attack. Zatha was 2 1/2 years old when her father died, and her brother Marvin was two months old. Her mother Sarah and the two small children later moved to Boone and lived with Sarah's father until he died. They later moved to Clarion where both children grew up and received their education. Zatha married Pat Patterson and they were the parents of one one son, Paul. Zatha worked at the hospital for several years. She was later married to Ken Asche where they settled in Clarion.

Zatha is survived by her husband; one son, Paul Patterson and his wife Betty; one brother, Marvin and his wife Phyllis; four grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren in California; and her aunt Lura [Andrew] Peacock of Jefferson.
