Lucy J. Madison, 96, died Sunday, June 16, 1996, in Marengo Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, First United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Allen Wiese. Burial: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Kloster- Valentine Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Survivors include a son, Fred and wife Regina of Eagle Grove; six daughters, Arleen Danskin and husband Eugene and Berniece Mohr and husband Ronald, all of Marengo, Margaret Risdon of Victor, Marian Freeman and husband Richard of Plattsburg, Mo., Joann Gillespie and husband Howard of Fountain, Minn., and Donnarae Cranston of Grundy Center; 29 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred in 1955; her parents; a son, James; an infant granddaughter; two sisters; and seven brothers. A memorial fund has been established.
