Milver L. Kohout, 75, of rural Lisbon, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 1995, in his home from complications of heart failure. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Lisbon United Methodist Church, where friends may register after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Burial: Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan Funeral Home, Lisbon.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, at home; three sons, James and Paul and wife Betty, all of Lisbon, and Terry of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Jean Novak and husband Steve of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, Stacy, Daniel, Jason, Benjamin, Angela and Brett Kohout and Brian and Brandon Novak; a sister, Maxine Hennessy and husband Ray of Solon; and a brother, Donald of Solon. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Milver was born May 29, 1920, in rural Solon, Johnson County, to Louis and Libbie Kasparek Kohout and married Marjorie McCutcheon on Aug. 7, 1946, in Goldfield. He farmed in rural Solon until moving to Lisbon in 1958. He was a past member of the Iowa Genealogical Society and former director for the Iowa Farm Bureau. Memorials to the Mechanicsville Volunteer Ambulance Equipment Fund, 100 E. First St., Mechanicsville 52306.
