Gordon R. Kastler, age 86, died August 19, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born May 5, 1910 in Eagle Grove, Iowa to Paul and Margaret Kastler. He married Lola Johnson on January 15, 1949 in Salt Lake City. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He was also a member of Acacia Lodge #17 F & AM in Salt Lake City and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry 32 Degree. He retired from Dunkly Refrigerated Transport in 1975. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Salt Lake.

He is survived by his wife, Lola of 47 years, and his niece, Judith K. Swenson, both of Salt Lake City, Utah, and many friends. Burial will be in Eagle Grove, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be made to Shriners Hospital for Children in Gordon's name. Funeral Directors, Evans & Early.
