Donald B. "Sonny" Visocsky, Sr., 62, Eagle Grove, Iowa, formerly of this area, died Sept. 3, 1992, at a hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Barnett-Larkin-Brown Chapel; Leavenworth; burial in the National Cemetery, Fort Leavenworth. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or any charity. Mr. Visocsky was born in Oak Mills, Kan., and lived in Leavenworth and Bonner Springs before moving to Eagle Grove in 1981. He owned Don's Leather Shop, Eagle Grove, for eight years. He owned Domar Laundry and Dry Cleaning, Bonner Springs, during the late 1960s. Earlier he operated a milk route in Bonner Springs. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. His first wife, Mary Johnson Visocsky, died in 1952. Survivors include his wife, Martha Visocsky of the home; three sons, Fred Visocsky and Donald Visocsky Jr. of Eagle Grove and Herman Visocsky, Leavenworth; two daughters, Vickie Yockel, Polo, Mo., and Roswitha Laws, Mission; a stepson, Wolfgang Schlhe, Germany; four brothers, Robert Visocsky, Lansing in Leavenworth County, Franklin Visocsky, Topeka, Peter Visocsky, Leavenworth, and Daniel Visocsky, Jacksonville, N.C.; five sisters, Betty Flack, Olathe, Lois Jordan, Leavenworth, Ruby Williams and Ruth Benson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Anna Marie Paden, Camden Point in Platte County; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
