MASON CITY -- Glenn L. Wallace, 98, of 140 N. Crescent Drive, died Tuesday (March 5, 1996) at the IOOF Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Merlin Ackerson of First United Methodist Church officiating. Masonic services will be conducted by Harding Lodge #649 A.F. and A.M. will be held prior to funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa.

Glenn L. Wallace was born Nov. 7, 1897, in Rowan, the son of Clarence C. and Bertha (Goodell) Wallace. He was married to Vilora M. Zimmerman on May 14, 1921, at Burt. Glenn was a traffic manager at Northwestern States Portland Cement Company from 1938 until he retired on Dec. 21, 1962. Glenn was a member of First United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of Harding Lodge
#649 A.F. and A.M. Survivors include his son, Robert Wallace of Cedar Rapids; two grandsons, Glenn Harriman and his wife, Debra, of Mason City, and Terry Wallace and his wife, Victoria, of Cedar Rapids; one great-granddaughter; and three great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vilora; two sisters, Gladys Hawcott and Ila Wallace; two brothers, Vaughn and Vernon Wallace; one daughter, Dorothy Harriman; and one grandson, Thomas Wallace.
