BELMOND -- Leona Haupt, 73, of 303 Sixth Ave. N.E., died Saturday (Sept. 30, 1995) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center in Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Belmond with the Rev. Laurence Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Rowan. Visitation is from 2 to 9 tonight at the Ewing Funeral Home in Belmond, where the family will greet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. There will also be visitation one hour prior to services at the church.

Leona Haupt was born April 15, 1922, near Rowan. Survivors include her husband, Robert Haupt, Belmond; one son, Verle Haupt, Jewell; two brothers, Kenneth Bailey of Rowan and Elmer Bailey of Levenworth, Kan.; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and three brothers.
