Orie N. Keeling, 86, of Belmond, died Monday (July 10, 1995) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ, Clarion, with Mark Young officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion. There will be no visitation. Tenold Funeral Home, Belmond, is in charge of arrangements.

Orie Keeling was born Jan. 27, 1909, on a farm four miles south of Belmond. Survivors include his wife, Alice Keeling, of Belmond; one son, Verlyn Keeling of Rowan; four daughters, Lois Southard and Beverly Delger, both of Clarion, Shirley Curran of Waterloo and Judy Wiemann of Belmond; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lila Terry of Colfax; and one brother, Clifford Keeling of Mountain Home, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
