RENWICK — Selmer "Sam" Nerem, 83, of Renwick, died Friday (Feb. 5, 1999) at home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Sandy Krynik officiating. Burial will be in Lake Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural route Goldfield, with military graveside services by Harvey-McPeak Post No. 289 American Legion. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home, Renwick.

Selmer was born Feb. 13, 1915 in Renwick. Survivors include three sons, Dennis Nerem and Scott Nerem, both of Renwick, and Keith Nerem, of Webster City; two daughters, Kathy Kamp, of Renwick and Wendie Nerem, of Grimes; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Aldean Shipman, of Corwith and Lucille Hoveland, of Clarion. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one granddaughter and four brothers.
