CLARION - Helen Lorna Mickelson, 100, of Clarion, died Monday (Feb. 1, 1999) at Community Memorial Hospital, Clarion. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church, Clarion, with the Rev. Charles Kellogg officiating. Burial of ashes will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, following services. Willim Funeral Home, Clarion, is in charge of arrangements.

Helen Lorna Barrett was born March 26, 1898, at Black Hawk County. Survivors include two daughters, Joan Tompke, of Battle Creek, and Marlene Gogg, of Hurley, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, one brother and one sister.
