CLARION -- George A. Stupka, 81, of Clarion, died Monday (Aug. 18, 1997) at the Clarion Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John_s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Wayne Droessler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with graveside military rites by the Clarion American Legion. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Willim Funeral Home, with a 7 p.m. vigil service.

George A. Stupka was born May 30, 1916, in Britt. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, of Clarion; two sons, Jim of Hartsville, S.C., and Paul of Opportunity Village, Clear Lake; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Alice Fulks, Eagle Grove, and Helen Stroud, Belmond; and two brothers, Lawrence, Elk Grove, Calif., and Edward, Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
