SAMUEL MCKENZIE RITES AT LORIMOR

Funeral services were held Feb. 7 from the Lorimor Baptist church for Samuel L. McKenzie whose death occurred Feb. 3 at the Veterans' hospital in Des Moines. Mr. McKenzie was 81 years of age at his death. A son of Aaron and Elizabeth McKenzie, he was born in Madison county Nov. 14, 1884. He engaged in farming and made his home for several years with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Akin of near Lorimor. He was a veteran of World War I. He united, early in life, with the Bethseda Baptist church at Macksburg. He was a member of the Masonic lodge at Eagle Grove. Lee Kivett conducted the funeral services Feb. 3. Burial was made in Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
