IOWA FALLS-Harald S. Bach, 82, of Iowa Falls, died Monday, May 15, 2000, at his home. Services were held Friday, May 19 at the Church of the Open Bible with burial in Union Cemetery. Rev. Herb Kenyon and Rev. Randall Bach officiated. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Harald was born May 26, 1917, at Dows, to Sofus and Anna Simonsen Bach. He graduated from Dows High School and on May 30, 1942, he married Dorothy M. Meyer at the Church of the Open Bible in Iowa Falls. Harold had been a machinist at the Iowa Falls Machine Works for many years. He was a member of the Church of the Open Bible and on the church's board of directors for several years; a member of the Antique Auto Club of America and the NIARPA Car Association. He enjoyed auto shows and antique cars.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Cheryl Nachazel and husband, Lynn, of Alden; a son, Dennis Bach and wife, Mary, of Austin, Texas; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Albert Bach and wife, Maxine, of Iowa Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents. Linn's Funeral Home of Iowa Falls was in charge of arrangements.
