SPENCER - Craig Beyer, 52, of Spencer, formerly of Jasper County, died Friday, Sept. 19, at his home in Spencer. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the First Reformed Church in Sully. Friends may call today at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Sully, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials will be accepted to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

The son of Ben and Darlene (Sandy) Beyer, he was born Aug. 9, 1951. He graduated from Lynnville-Sully High Schoo1 and from Iowa State University with a degree in business. Following graduation, he worked for Maasdam Construction and the City of Clarion. For the past 20 years he was employed as an auditor in Spencer for the Iowa Department of Revenue. Mr. Beyer enjoyed walking and was a follower of Iowa State athletic teams.

Survivors include his parents of Sully; two brothers, Bryce and Dennis Beyer of Lynnville; three sisters and their husbands, Sharon and Dean Renaud of Sully, Ian and Wes Conover of Sully and Kathy and Chuck Ross of Hinesburg, Vt.; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
