Solveig Moen Carlson
November 5, 1901, Norway -- November 28, 1993, Clarion, Wright, Iowa

Daughter of Eilert & Karoline (Draget) Moen, was born in Molde, Norway. She came to the United States in 1905, settling in Minneapolis, Minn., with her parents. On June 30, 1930, she married Walter E. Carlson in Minneapolis. For nearly 50 years she was a co-worker with her husband who ministered to Lutheran parishes in Norway, Iowa, Leland, Illinois, Carpenter, Eagle Grove, and Webster City. They retired in Eagle Grove. She is survived by her husband, Walter; son, Walter Jr. of Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Diane Schroeder of Clarion and Mary Johnson of Belmond; 9 grandchildren; 8 g-grandchildren; sister, Emma Haalvedt of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
