February 3, 1916, Hamilton County, Iowa --- December 1, 1993, Clarion, Wright, Iowa

She married Bernett Bernard Butz in 1948 in Eagle Grove. They made their home in Eagle Grove. She was employed with Wilson & Co. in Eagle Grove and worked as a waitress for Margaret Hilpipre Erickson. Survivors include her sons, Bruce Butz, Eagle Grove, Hal Banks, Davenport, Vernon Subject, Whittemore, and Frederick Subject, Show Low, Ariz.; daughters, Carole Hanus, Eagle Grove, and Janice Sloan, Kenosha, Wis.; 25 grandchildren; 17 g-grandchildren; brother, John Thompson, Webster City; and sister Bessie Knapp, Duncombe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney & Celia Larson Thompson; her husband, Bernett Butz; two grandsons; two brothers and three sisters. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
