She married George Bernard of Eagle Grove. and the couple farmed east of Eagle Grove before moving into Eagle Grove. She is survived by her sons, Russell, Cedar Falls, Melvin, Maquoketa, Kenneth, Minnetonka, Minn. and Jerald, Cedar Falls; daughter, Eileen Stevenson, Goldfield; 17 grandchildren; 25 g-grandchildren; sister, Helen Jergensen, Eagle Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, brothers, Carl Lewis and George Lewis; and sisters, Geneva Sanders and Atta Christensen.
