Chester L. "Bud" GATLIFF

Bud Gatliff, 77, died Friday, August 19, 2005 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center after a short illness. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2005 at Dunn's Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls. Bud was born in Belmond, Iowa and had lived in Des Moines for over 55 years. He was an Army Paratrooper in the Korean War. Bud had been a realtor, homebuilder and contractor for many years and recently was involved with car sales in the Des Moines area. He was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church.

Bud is survived by his wife, Mary Gatliff of Des Moines; son, Mark (Corey) Gatliff of Nashville, TN; daughters, Kimberly Gatliff of Minneapolis, MN and Lisa (Steve) Hashman of Storm Lake; sisters, Marlene Larson of Waterloo, Betty Staley of Des Moines and Lois Lewis of Iowa Falls; and grandchildren, Cole, Reece, Ethan and Erin. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2005, the family will be present from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth Congregational Church.
