Hazel Y. Haupt, 90, Clarion, died Thursday (June 29, 1995) at Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Stuart Brantley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Wilim Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Hazel Y. Haupt was born March 21, 1905 in Clarion. Survivors include two sons, Stuart L. Ballau of Florissant, Mo., and Philip E. Ballau of Marco Island, Fla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister.
