Marvin Pals, 83, formerly of Belmond, died Monday, April 2 at his home in Sikeston, MO. Services are tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7 at the Belmond United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Immanuel Reformed Church Cemetery. There will also be a funeral service at 6 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Andrews Funeral Home is handling the local service.

SIKESTON - Marvin Lewis Pals, 84, died April 2, 2007, at his home. Born Feb. 13, 1923, in Belmond, Iowa, to the late Lambert and Marie Stadtlander Pals, he was a self-employed farmer and of the Methodist belief. He was first married to Shirley Proger, and she preceded him in death. In September 1988, he married Jean Daniel who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Brian J. Pals of Aurora, Colo.; one daughter, Virginia Quinn of Canada; and two brothers, Alvin Pals and Johan Pals, both of Belmond. Visitation is from 4:30 p.m. until time of services at 6 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, will officiate. Services will also be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Andrews Funeral Home in Belmond. Burial will follow in Immanual Reformed Church Cemetery in Belmond.
