Donald G. Mehus, 72, of Iola, Wisconsin died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Iola Living Assistance. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Iola. Burial in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Voie Funeral Home in Iola. He was born March 24, 1934, in Belmond, Iowa, to the late Torkel and Oline (Nelson) Mehus. Don was married to Janet Olson on Sept. 5, 1953, in Iola. She survives. He had worked for the Waupaca County Highway Department for more than 29 years.

Survivors include his wife, Janet of Iola; one son, Dale (friend, Marlene Thompson) Mehus of Lake Mills, Iowa; two daughters, Ruth (Dale) Lutz and Luann (William) Loberg, both of Amherst Junction; four sisters, Mildred (Roger) Lonnevik of Glenwood, Iowa, Nettie (Bob) Kimball of Ventura, Iowa, Joan (Arlie) Olson of Lake Mills, Iowa, and Pearl "Chris" Moudy of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Jon (Mary) Mehus of Davenport, Iowa; and five grandchildren.
