Arline M. Williams, 91, died March 2, 2007 in Austin, MN. Services were held the morning of March 7 in Austin and the afternoon of March 7 at the Dows United Methodist Church. Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery in Dows.

Arline Merle was born May 23, 1915 in Garner, the daughter of Edward and Merle (Simcox) Ford. She attended school in Mankato, MN through the 11th grade when her family moved to Dows where she graduated. On February 23, 1934 she married Lyle Williams in Northwood. Arline and Lyle farmed near Olaf, then near Adams, MN, and finally settled in Dows. Survivors include daughter Catherine Andree of Austin; son Lyle (Sheryl) Williams of Austin; seven grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law.

Arline Merle Williams, age 91, of Austin, Minnesota, died Friday, March 2, 2007, at Our House Memory Care in Austin. She was born May 23, 1915, in Garner, Iowa, to Edward and Merle (Simcox) Ford. Arline attended school in Mankato, Minnesota, through the 11th grade when her family moved to Dows, Iowa, where she graduated from high school. On Feb. 23, 1934, she Married Lyle Williams in Northwood, Iowa. Arline and Lyle farmed in Olaf, Iowa, then Adams, Minnesota, finally settling in Dows, Iowa. Arline was a life long member of the Methodist Church, where she was active in the church circle. She was also active with the Senior Citizen Center in Dows.

She is survived by a daughter, Catherine Andree, Austin; a son, Lyle (Sheryl) Williams, Austin; grandchildren: Robert and Miriam Andree, Barry Andree, Allen Andree, Patsy and Phillip Koontz, Neal Williams, Connie and Joel Crnkovic, Christine and Barry Fett; by 23 great-grandchildren; by five great-great-grandchildren; by sisters-in-law: Dorothy Williams, Clear Lake, Iowa; Ethel Williams, Iowa Falls, Iowa; and Betty Williams, Nebraska.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 7, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary, Austin, with The Rev. Patricia M. Toschak officiating. A second funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 7, at the United Methodist Church, Dows, Iowa, with the Rev. Kalen Fristad officiating. Interment was in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Dows, Iowa.
