Alta Christina Helland-Robinson, 84, died Aug. 29, 2001, at her Bremerton residence. She was born Oct. 10, 1916, in Belmond, Iowa, to John and Jennie (Koppernagel) Helland. She married Claude Benson Robinson on Feb. 2, 1946, in Bremerton. He died in 1990. She was a homemaker and member of Rebecca Lodge and The Children's Home Society. She was a member of the Lutheran church. Survivors include a son, Kenneth Robinson of Olympia; five daughters, Evelyn Campeau and Carol McCorkle of Bremerton, Velda Miller and Linda Smith of University Place, and Jennie Wilson of Shoreline; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by twin sisters, Marcella and Marguerite Helland; and her brother, Orville Helland.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m today at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, also at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Silverdale.
