Tedmar J. Thompson, 54, of Troy, Mich., formerly of Belmond, died Friday (Nov. 24, 1995) at Troy, Mich. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Belmond, with the Rev. Lowell Halvorson officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Tenold Funeral Home, Belmond, and one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the church.

Tedmar J. Thompson was born Dec. 28, 1940, in Belmond. He attended school in Norway Township and graduated from Belmond High School in 1958. He attended Luther College and Waldorf College before entering the Army. He attended Eastern Illinois University from which he graduated in 1965. He married Marilyn Fuqua in 1963 at Mattoon, Ill. and later moved to Grand Blanc, Mich. in 1965. He began working for General Motors as a communications engineer. The Division of General Motors for which Ted worked became Electronic Data Systems, where he worked until 1992. Ted married Kathryn Larsen in 1987 at Troy, Mich., where they have made their home.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn of Troy, Mich.; two daughters, Nicole Thompson and Erica Dow, both of Mattoon, Ill.; his mother, Ruth Lein, Belmond; and a brother, Paul Thompson, Madison, Wis. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerhard.
