Michael M. Becker, 67, of Davenport, died on Friday, September 30, 2005. He was born on March 6, 1938 in Garner, the son of Leo and Elizabeth Becker. He graduated from the Humboldt High School and Buena Vista College. Later he earned additional degrees. Michael taught junior high English at Belmond for six years before moving to Palmer-Fonda in 1966 and Davenport in 1969. He married Jane Schoonmaker in Davenport in 1971. He retired from the Davenport schools in 2001 as head of the guidance department. He is survived by his wife; married daughter; and a son.
