EAGLE GROVE - Willis G. Chapman, 76, died Wednesday at Mary Greeley Hospital, Ames. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Eagle Grove, with the Rev. Wayne Droessler officiating. Burial will be at Washington Lutheran Cemetery, Duncombe. Visitation is after 3 p.m. today at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. A scripture service will be 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife Margaret; daughter, Nancy Hagberg, New Port, Ark.; two grandchildren; brothers, Vernon Chapman, Gerald Chapman and Fred Chapman, all of Clarion; sisters Viola Denger, Oxnard, Calif., and Barbara Knutson, Granton, Wis.
He was born in Wright County and attended rural schools near Woolstock. In 1942, he married Margaret Olson at Cheyenne, Wyo. They moved to Eagle Grove after they were married and have lived there ever since. In 1942, he served the United States Army for nearly four years. He was part owner of the Chapman Oil Company, Eagle Grove. He retired in 1979.
