Marjorie L. Kenevan, age 87, of Columbus/Beaver Dam. Wis., died on Wednesday July 14, 2004. She was born on Oct. 23, 1916, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, to Levi and Laura (Kolste) Tuttle. She was married to James Kenevan on June 1, 1935, in Northwood, Iowa. Marjorie was a long time Columbus resident where she was employed at Mietzel's Bakery and Earl's Cafe. She loved her yearly trips to South Carolina to visit her daughter and family.
Survivors include five sons: Richard (Shirley) and David (Ruth), both of Albert Lea, Michael (Arlene) of Columbus, Wis., Daniel (Louise) of Beaver Dam, Wis., and Mark (Mina) of Columbus; one daughter, Mary (Dan) Brace of Pickens, S.C.; 19 grandchildren: Kathy (Leroy) Ellingson, Charles (Cathy) Kenevan, David (Kim) Kenevan, Scott Kenevan, Shawn (Kathy) Kenevan, Michelle Welch (and Brad), Chad (Tina) Kenevan, Tom (Tracy) Kenevan, Amy Jo (Dave) Ruthe, Matt Kenevan, Trent (Susanne) Brace, Lance Brace, Jessie Brace, Richard (Nicole) Luey, Shannon (David) Bolger, Debbie Moe, Terri Shocker, Rodney Moe, and Michael Moe; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Maxine Thompson of Farmington, Minn.; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James, in 1969; an infant son, Roger; and one sister, Mary Dahl.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at Peace Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. Family and friends can gather for graveside services at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 18, in Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
